My college final piece!
These pieces are pages from a theoretical children’s book I have created dealing with xenophobia. In my story our protagonist, Freya, ventures from her quaint colourful world through a portal, to emerge in a city with tall skyscrapers that has no colour. The denizens of this monochrome world are initially afraid of Freya and her bright colours before they begin to approach her and ask her questions about her colourful kite. When faced with something alien to us, it is important to engage with it and open a dialogue, which is something I wanted my children’s book to represent.
